Axiata Digital’s fintech holding arm, Boost Holdings Sdn Bhd (Boost Holdings), through its subsidiary Axiata Digital Capital Sdn Bhd (Aspirasi) today became the first digital banking license aspirant to collaborate with Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGC) for a potential digital bank guarantee. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to accelerate financial inclusion for the underserved and unserved segments.
Kuala Lumpur, 2 June 2021 – Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata) and RHB Banking Group (RHB) (together “Parties”) today formalised an MoU (“Partnership”) to expand and deepen collaborations between both Parties. The most advanced of these is the signing of a comprehensive Heads of Agreement (“Agreement”) between an Axiata subsidiary, Boost Holdings Sdn Bhd (Boost Holdings) and RHB to form a consortium to apply for a digital banking license (Digital Bank) under the framework issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). Both Parties consider this Partnership as a robust platform to drive innovation, increase competitiveness and accelerate the country’s digital transformation and financial inclusion ambition.

PT Creative Mobile Adventure operates a telco supply chain model financing business under the brand KIMO with the limited number of peer-to-peer full digital financing licenses issued by OJK (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, Indonesia).

Malaysia), an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC), has signed a partnership agreement with Aspirasi, a digital financing services provider under Axiata Digital, to empower SMEs in the country through digital financing solutions.
