Kuala Lumpur, 28 September 2020 – SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp. Malaysia), an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC), has signed a partnership agreement with Aspirasi, a digital financing services provider under Axiata Digital, to empower SMEs in the country through digital financing solutions.
As part of their ongoing corporate community commitment, Axiata Group Berhad (“Axiata” or the “Group”) together with its subsidiaries Celcom Axiata Berhad (“Celcom”), edotco Group (“edotco”) and Axiata Digital announced the launch of a RM150 million cash fund to provide financial assistance to micro-SMEs. Axiata’s COVID-19 Assistance Program includes an initial contribution of RM20 million from the Ministry of Finance.
GHL Systems Berhad (GHL) and Aspirasi, a digital financing platform and fintech provider under Axiata Digital have formed a partnership to provide SMEs and micro-entrepreneurs in the country with digital access to GHL’s new financing business.

CIMB Group (“CIMB”) have entered into a partnership with Axiata Digital Capital (“ADC”), a fintech services provider under Axiata Digital that provides financing solutions to potentially 700,000 small and medium enterprise (SME) customers in Malaysia and Indonesia through ADC’s Micro lending platform, Aspirasi.
Axiata Digital Services Sdn. Bhd. (AD), the digital services arm of Axiata Group Berhad (Axiata” or “the Group), announced a strategic minority investment by Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui).
